Goo.gl - shorten those urls, Poindexter!

Google has opened the public doors to their url shortening weblication* (web+application). Similar to bit.ly and others, this will make a long url such as http://mylivetube.blogspot.com/2010/09/googl-shorten-those-urls-poindexter.html and turn it into http://goo.gl/tPMM.

This is helpful in instant messages, texts, and overall bandwidth, should you be concerned. Also as other url shortening services provide, goo.gl provides detailed statistics, not just the simple hits. If you are marketing a product, promoting a gallery opening, getting the word out about your new music, or just your new Dominatrix Delivery Company, goo.gl will surely help you track where visitors are finding you and may increase your business ;)

Droid 2.1 Android this week

As you may have heard yesterday via Motorola's announcements on the web, including their FaceCraque page, they will begin rolling out the updated 2.1 Android operating system to their phones over the air.

The updates will include everything which is on the Nexus's 2.1 OS apart from the LIVE (animated) wallpaper and the new launcher, however, there are ROMS that work for Droid already to do this.

I am awaiting Flash 10.1 for the phone (check the official video for this) and more multi-touch apps. So far, there are browsers such as Dolphin, Google Maps and music apps.

Additionally, there was a LOST & NOT FOUD type of sale today at Universal Studios. Items consisted of hats, sunglasses, cameras, phones and more!

I scored a cheap backup unlocked Nokia camera phone for $10 and a KILLER Nokia N95 8GB smart phone for $75 which is priced as $540 NEW!!!

This phone has an awesome 5 megapixel photo and video camera with killer mp3 player... even if I never get a new service... I will finally have a camera again and a new way to listen to music on my two-wheeled scooter "lawnmower transit device".

There is a similar sale tomorrow, however I will be working elsewhere.
