Red Light District performing Friday & Saturday in Hollywood

Finally performing in LA again! On drums in Red Light District

We are performing this Friday and Saturday evening!

We are unveiling our new line up with new castings of Detective Jack Archer on the big strings and Lady Abby Markson on the six-string twanger.
The rest of the live show is rounded by Alex Mallets Burke on the vibraphone and accordion, Dr. Naren Renz on keys, Ms. Juliette Angeli on vocals, percussion and theremin and I will be on drums and percussion.

The performance is part of a cool theatre event with various acts and skits and held at the Elephant Theatre (6324 Santa Monica Blvd., Hollywood 90038 by Vine)

The silent comedic duo, Ten West, is also performing on the bill.

Doors are at 7:30 for the full event, however if you come just before 9pm and mention either Ten West or Red Light District, you will get in half price @ $10
We hit the stage 10pm sharp on Friday and 11pm, Saturday evening.

If you have not yet heard our music, it is a blend of 1920s, 30s, neo-vaudeville, sinister cabaret, set in the future with dusty circus-hop, trip hop presented by the use of voice, accordian, vibraphone, guitar, bass, synthesziers, odd sounds, found percussion, trumpet, cello and chance happenings.

East Coast, yo!
While Botanica is no longer doing a US tour due to some issues on the end of Firewater's booking, I will still be DJing and possibly doing an acoustic guitar gig in Philadelphia, NYC and a few other spots on the east coast from May 2nd through the 14th.

I will be on the road and touring... but not with Botanica and not on the drums but being the scientist at the main helms, engineering the sound for SPECIMEN on the upcoming ALIEN SEX FIEND tour.

Combine Pink Floyd's characters of THE WALL, Tim Burton's collection of googly ghouls gadets and grub in a blender with the folks in The Yellow Submarine from the Beatles turned dark in a fantasy world.

Stunning, Breathtaking, addictive, calming set in a cold but warm and placid distant world of adventure is what I can tell you and I hope you are delighted as much as I am.

I suppose most of you did not know I sorta moved out of Hollywood recently and up to a lovely home in Grananda Hills.
Miss Pooch-A-Rilla spends more time there than I do currently... she loves the big front and back yards!
We both reside with Mark Caro aka TechItch and Jillian as well as her two kitties. Expect to hear and see more on the Pooch & Paris animated series. Think Thelma and Louise but with a cat-like dog and dog-like cat!

I always liked Timbaland and the fact that he was a producer who made music for the hiphop scene but listened to underground electronic whether is be industrial, drum n bass or electro. Apparently he was so influenced by Crystal Castles' 2006 tune called "Courtship Dating", that he lifted it and resold it to 50 Cent as "Ayo Technology".


Jack Lalane always had it right! Listen to him... he is still rockin and sockin!

Be sure to check the cameo by the drunken gal, whose mates did not bother to assist other than snapping a few images which will undoubtedly be found on myspace possibly by the time you have seen this.

I must add that I do have a follow-up video from a recent spotting of the ever so famous Hollywood BAG CAR... I do promise to one day, interview that bloke!

Harry Warren wrote That's Amore many many many years ago and Dean Martin made this song popular.

Mr. Warren composed quite a vast amount of classic tunes including the music for the Broadway Musical classic, 42nd Street.

Our friends own the publishing of his music catalog as one of the two people is his grand daughter.

A few weeks ago, we got the job to re-create "That's Amore" for a new TV show with the same name. Since it is a minute in length and not the usual Red Light District neo-vaudeville/ dark circus essence, I was not going to post it.... but late night.... last evening/ this morning... I did...
